Art collectors eagerly await the gallery exhibit filled with your artwork. Seeing your work being admired and discussed by local art critics. They “ooo” and “ahh” as the gallery fills up opening night and you see your work being admired by a wide variety of guests.

You wonder if gallery owners don’t like your work, and maybe that’s why they’re not accepting it. Or maybe everyone knows something you don’t.
You’re worried that as time goes on and you’re still not getting any recognition in the art scene, it might just stay that way...
As an artist, there is no greater feeling than having your art displayed in a gallery. You put creative passion, love, and untold hours into each custom piece, and then the day comes when you get to show it to the world.

If you’re honest with yourself, you feel discouraged that you’re not selling more. This isn’t what you signed up for when you dreamed of becoming an artist.

But as a gallery owner, I know first hand that there IS a way to stand out and sell art you love. And it’s a lot simpler than you think.

Spent years honing their craft…

Went to art school…

It's because you haven't been equipped with the fundamental business and marketing skills you need to truly get your artwork out of your studio or home and into the hands of the right gallery owners (and collectors) that will appreciate it.
You survived the workshop critiques, the student debt, everyone asking what you planned to do for a “real job”... but no classes ever covered the practical side of making a living.
But selling your art is a skill that can be learned, just like riding a bike or learning to read and write.
And there’s currently a greater demand for high-quality fine art.
There are plenty of artists who have learned to get their art into exhibitions and galleries, and there are plenty of sales to go around.
It’s just that 90% of artists don’t know how to get those sales because they were never taught they needed to or how.
Art does not sell itself. You as the artist have to learn how to talk about your art and yourself as the brand, be prepared with what to say in person and online. Creating quality art images of your work is key to have on all the right platforms.

The truth is one of the biggest ways to stand out to gallery owners and promoting your art, lies in your ability to market yourself.
With some simple strategies and tricks of the trade, you will be able to tastefully talk about yourself and your art, so you “sell” just by sharing your passion...without coming across as arrogant or awkward.

The thought of going into a crowded art opening and trying to introduce yourself to collectors and gallery owners almost makes you break out in hives.

If it were really good, people would recognize that immediately upon seeing it... no explanation necessary!
And while people may recognize talent when they see it, they have to have the opportunity to see it first.
Unfortunately, many artists make simple mistakes that make it too hard for gallery owners to review their art, so it never gets seen at all.
Having key marketing pieces in place so you stand out and cohesively being able to package your art correctly for a gallery owner, art curator or collector to review easily and effectively will help you sidestep these common pitfalls. Once you have this, galleries across the country will be open to viewing your work and finding the best match for your art style securing multiple gallery representation or exhibiting opportunities.

Even if you haven’t been able to successfully market and sell your art in the past, it doesn’t have to stay that way. Imagine waking up every day excited to create art — AND to sell it!
Every time you pitch to a collector, an art fair, or gallery owner, you know exactly what you’re doing. You do it with the confidence and professionalism of an artist who is also a business owner.Your sales surprise and delight you.
As you build your reputation, the prices you command grow and your world expands to more and more opportunities.
And you feel — finally — like your work is making a difference in the world.
People are seeing it.
Appreciating it.
Buying it.
I know this is possible because I see it firsthand every day. As an artist-turned-gallery owner, I’ve watched hundreds of artists trying to sell their work, gotten thousands of submissions, and seen outstanding pitches and pitches needing some work.
There’s a secret sauce in marketing your work. And I’m here to share it with you.

This is when Beyond the Lines Art Show pop up events came to be. I loved featuring artists each show in an environment that hosted vendors, interactive installation rooms, live music and comedy shows. After starting this venture, I opened a more classical gallery where I organized and curated themed group and solo shows working with a wide variety of emerging, mid career and established artists. Since then I've opened several more galleries in Santa Monica, Los Angeles and Ojai, California.
I became the person the artists were pitching to and I saw firsthand the conundrum I witnessed from the sidelines for years.
I look back on all the classes I took, and you know what? Not a single one taught artists how to sell their art. Artists aren’t instilled with the marketing or sales skills to be able to present their art in an authentic way.

We aren’t taught how to pull together a sales pitch, or the right brand and marketing pieces we need to land the right galleries. In fact, most dread the thought of having to “sell” themselves and their art to multitudes of people.
Some artists naturally have the innate skills needed to exceed at the things we weren’t taught in school. But the rest of us? We’re stuck second-guessing our talent (and even our choice in career).
Well, I created just that. And now I want to teach you how to avoid all the mistakes and how to pitch like a pro, so gallery owners finally SEE your work and show your work in their galleries. And so YOU make sales and feel prepared to tackle the art world this year without fear or doubt.

You’ll walk away ready to discover how to describe yourself and your art, so your work sells.

We’ll work through preparing your art for a pitch — and for all the exhibits you are about to participate in!

We’ll also cover how to present your work in its best light!

Believe me, I know how frustrating it is. I attended art school, intending to become an artist myself, but felt myself falling in love with the ability to showcase other peoples’ art and became an art curator and gallery owner instead.
